Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with technical depth.
- 3+ years in a formal management role managing engineers of different levels.
- Strong individual contributor experience building software at scale.
- Proficiency with Elixir, Ruby, or TypeScript.
- Ability to effectively communicate across both technical and business stakeholders.
- Proven track record as an engineer or manager during rapid growth.
- Genuinely proficient with AI-assisted coding tools.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.
- Experience in fintech, marketplace platforms, or regulated software environments preferred.
- Experience driving AI adoption as a team-wide process change preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own people leadership for two engineering teams, managing Engineering Leads and ICs through 1:1s and performance reviews.
- Act as a technical leader across teams, shaping architecture and providing technical scrutiny.
- Partner with the Director to lead and develop the group's engineering leads.
- Drive prioritization discipline and champion incremental delivery of business value.
- Continuously assess team effectiveness, health, and growth trajectory.
- Champion the platform's stability, operational rigor, and on-call rotation participation.
- Build and scale the team through hiring.
- Champion AI-native engineering practices and drive their adoption.
