Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience building scalable full-stack web applications.
- Proven experience working in high-ambiguity environments with fast-shifting priorities.
- Deep knowledge of modern web technologies, specifically React, TypeScript, Node.js/NestJS, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
- Demonstrated ability to define system architecture, make foundational technical decisions, and improve existing platforms.
- Strong understanding of application security principles, such as OWASP Top 10, authentication, authorization, and threat modeling.
- Experience identifying and resolving performance challenges across databases, APIs, and infrastructure.
- Strong product delivery mindset balancing technical excellence with pragmatic execution.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code or Copilot.
- Strong ownership mentality to proactively identify and solve problems independently.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the platform architecture across data layers, APIs, frontend applications, and deployment infrastructure.
- Build and maintain production-quality applications using React, TypeScript, Node.js/NestJS, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
- Design scalable multi-tenant systems with strong approaches to tenant isolation, data partitioning, and role-based access control.
- Embed security principles throughout the development process, including authentication, authorization, and API protection.
- Improve system performance through profiling, benchmarking, database query optimization, and caching strategies.
- Establish engineering standards, best practices, and quality expectations to support team growth.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, technical collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
- Evaluate and adopt modern engineering tools, including AI-assisted development solutions.
