Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent professional experience as an IT Engineer, Systems Administrator, or Cybersecurity Consultant.
- Previous DFIR and restoration experience in a consulting firm.
- Proficiency in deployment and management of IT infrastructure including Microsoft Exchange, M365, and Windows Server.
- Expertise in various operating systems including Windows, Linux, and MacOS.
- Experience in network administration, firewalls, VPN configurations, and two-factor/multi-factor authentication services.
- Familiarity with cloud services and hypervisor technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and Citrix.
- Experience with backup solutions like Veeam, Backup Exec, Unitrends, and Zerto.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining professional composure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the DFIR team to assess and determine the scope and impact of cyber incidents.
- Restore compromised systems using Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows security configurations.
- Script and automate recovery processes using PowerShell and Windows command line tools.
- Manage hypervisor environments and storage hardware platforms to recover data.
- Implement backup solutions and manage enterprise messaging systems like Exchange and M365.
- Maintain clear documentation of restoration efforts, lessons learned, and best practices.
- Provide after-hours on-call and weekend rotational support for critical incidents.
