Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- 3+ years of experience working in the US healthcare domain with healthcare data such as claims, provider, membership/eligibility, benefits, or prior authorization.
- Direct experience working with or for a US health plan (Medicare, Medicaid, or Commercial).
- Working command of payer concepts including membership/enrollment, provider, claims, and authorizations.
- Proven ability to write and execute SQL for data exploration and prototyping.
- Experience eliciting and authoring business requirements in complex, data-driven environments.
- Confident client-facing communication skills with the ability to facilitate requirements-gathering conversations.
- Strong systems thinking capabilities to design for reuse and scale across multi-workstream engagements.
- Ability to operate with ambiguity and re-prioritize frequently.
- Exposure to Databricks or Snowflake is desirable.
- Familiarity with HEDIS, Stars quality reporting, risk adjustment, or CMS interoperability is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions with client subject matter experts to identify business context, pain points, and success criteria.
- Translate use cases into clear, testable requirements with full traceability from business intent to final design.
- Document unambiguous requirements and translate them into data flows, transformation logic, and business rules for developers.
- Determine dataset grain and structure based on business context while analyzing downstream impacts on reports and models.
- Map dependencies across workstreams to ensure design choices support system-wide reuse and scalability.
- Write and execute SQL to analyze data, test assumptions, and prototype design solutions.
- Drive client-facing requirements-gathering and represent client intent throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Act as the central point of contact for internal teams including Solution Architects, Product, QA, and Account Management.
