Requirements
- Appropriate certification in CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, ISC2 CISSP, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals/Administrator.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a training setting, ideally delivering IT certification bootcamps.
- Advanced subject matter expertise.
- Experience with synchronous online teaching.
- Prior experience in curriculum development and instructional design for IT certification bootcamps.
- Familiarity with training tools such as CertMaster or TestOut.
- Effective presentation skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and learning technologies like Canvas.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and multitask.
- Flexibility to teach in the evenings and weekends based on course schedules.
Responsibilities
- Teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams.
- Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement.
- Ensure alignment of instructional strategies with adult learner framework and certification readiness.
- Design, update, and align course materials with college standards.
- Review course material for accuracy and relevance and provide improvement recommendations.
- Maintain student attendance and grade records in the Student Database.
- Maintain FERPA compliance and handle student data securely.
