Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, associate degree, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing occupational safety programs.
- Experience within general industry, warehousing, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or related operational environments.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, recordkeeping requirements, and occupational safety best practices.
- Expertise in ISO 45001 standards and experience supporting ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems.
- Demonstrated experience conducting audits, inspections, incident investigations, and compliance assessments.
- Knowledge of hazard communication, lockout/tagout procedures, machine guarding, ergonomics, industrial hygiene principles, PPE requirements, and heat illness prevention.
- Experience leading safety committees and implementing behavior-based safety initiatives.
- Strong strategic planning, project management, budgeting, and program management capabilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and safety management systems, including AI-based tools, Jira, Origami, and AlertMedia.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Physical ability to walk large operational facilities, climb stairs or ladders, lift up to 25 pounds occasionally, and wear required personal protective equipment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage occupational health, safety, and quality management programs across multiple operational environments.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT/FMCSA (where applicable), and all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain and support ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001 management systems, including certification activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct internal audits, inspections, compliance assessments, and risk evaluations to identify improvement opportunities and mitigate potential hazards.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop, deliver, and monitor safety training programs and initiatives to strengthen organizational safety culture.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators, including TRIR, LTIR, near misses, and corrective action completion rates.
- Support emergency preparedness efforts, crisis management planning, and business continuity initiatives.
- Manage regulatory reporting requirements, documentation retention processes, and compliance records.
- Collaborate with operational leaders, safety committees, and stakeholders to promote behavior-based safety programs and continuous improvement strategies.
