Requirements
- Strong experience in software engineering with deep expertise in at least one technology domain.
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture principles and the ability to apply them effectively.
- Experience designing distributed systems, APIs, cloud-based services, and scalable applications.
- Proven ability to balance technical tradeoffs involving scalability, security, performance, cost, and maintainability.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver end-to-end solutions from design through production independently.
- Experience improving code quality, operational reliability, and engineering processes.
- Strong understanding of TypeScript-based development environments, including API services and full-stack web applications.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD automation.
- Knowledge of observability, application performance monitoring, and CDN/edge delivery practices.
- Curiosity and commitment to continuous learning, staying informed about emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Ability to work effectively in remote or hybrid environments, with availability during Eastern Standard Time hours.
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions across teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable systems within assigned product areas.
- Contribute to technical architecture evolution, engineering patterns, and development standards.
- Build and optimize continuous delivery pipelines to improve deployment speed, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with product and design teams to translate business objectives into effective technical solutions.
- Scope, estimate, and deliver medium-to-large engineering initiatives with limited oversight.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges, dependencies, and integration issues.
- Mentor other engineers through code reviews, pair programming, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Improve engineering practices, code quality, system reliability, and technical consistency across teams.
- Evaluate new technologies, tools, and approaches to improve team productivity and business outcomes.
- Apply AI-powered tools thoughtfully to enhance engineering workflows and establish effective team practices.
