Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in design, computer science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of professional design experience for an information-driven digital publication.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for displaying designs on desktop and mobile environments.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating data visualization and information graphics skills.
- Ability to interpret raw data and distill complex information into key insights.
- Knowledge of design fundamentals including color theory, typography, composition, and layout.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability to feedback and evolving project needs while maintaining quality and brand consistency.
- Experience designing for a consumer-focused organization is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Create visual designs such as charts, graphs, and interactives for digital products, ensuring alignment with UX strategy.
- Partner with the content team to develop design approaches and pitch concepts aligned with brand voice.
- Collaborate with UX researchers to gather insights and integrate findings into design decisions.
- Explore diverse visual storytelling techniques such as audience interaction, layout, and structure.
- Design data visualizations and information graphics including high-fidelity designs, typography, and iconography.
- Prototype and develop interactive experiences using HTML, CSS, and JS.
- Implement interactive graphics within the content management system.
- Optimize presentation across platforms to ensure a consistent, engaging user experience.
