Requirements

  • Proven experience operating as a technical business analyst embedded inside cross-functional engineering, design, and customer success teams.
  • Strong experience directly developing, enhancing, or managing dedicated payments or payroll software products.
  • Proven track record of mapping complex technical requirements using data flow and sequence diagrams.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills with the ability to persuade stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data, metrics, and targeted user research for decision-making.
  • Comfortable navigating high-velocity, highly collaborative environments using agile frameworks.
  • Experience working within Payments, Finance, or EdTech industry sectors (Nice-to-have).
  • Experience thriving within AI-native workflow environments (Nice-to-have).

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Head of Payroll to deliver features aligned with strategic business goals.
  • Define clear problem statements and hypotheses based on stakeholder feedback and regulatory research.
  • Map and manage functional cross-team dependencies to facilitate development cycles.
  • Decompose strategic initiatives into detailed user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • Document complex workflows using data flow and sequence diagrams.
  • Establish precise business rules and data validations to guide technical engineering builds.
  • Audit requirements for alignment with data protection and payment security frameworks like PCI compliance.
  • Drive agile ceremonies to optimize delivery velocity.
  • Triage escalated bugs and functional queries as the primary technical point of contact.
