Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in card operations, card processing, payments, fintech, banking, or consumer lending environments.
- Deep expertise working with Fiserv/First Data card processing platforms, particularly Optis and related systems.
- Proven success leading large-scale card operations and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong experience managing vendor relationships and driving performance across external partners.
- Comprehensive understanding of card issuing, transaction processing, disputes, fraud operations, and lifecycle management.
- Experience partnering across Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Customer Experience teams.
- Familiarity with Fiserv tools such as DecisionQuest, DMM, and fraud mitigation tools like Defense Edge.
- Strong regulatory fluency and knowledge of compliance requirements in the payments space.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Ability to navigate complex organizations and influence stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the operational leader for Sunbit's card platform, driving performance, scalability, and continuous improvement.
- Own the implementation, optimization, and governance of core card processing functionality.
- Act as the primary expert and executive point of contact for Fiserv and related card processing partners.
- Lead operational workstreams for new product launches, co-brand programs, portfolio migrations, and fraud/risk initiatives.
- Manage strategic relationships with card processors, networks, and fulfillment providers to establish performance metrics and SLAs.
- Lead and develop a high-performing Card Operations team.
- Oversee the Card Operations budget and P&L while identifying efficiency improvements.
- Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure operational readiness for audits and regulatory reviews.
