Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in technology, engineering, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting virtualized compute and storage infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking, virtualization platforms, and virtual network technologies.
  • Experience with technologies such as VMware ESXi, VMware SRM, PowerCLI, vSphere SDKs, Cisco UCS, Cisco Nexus switching, Dell VxRail, Cisco HyperFlex, or Nutanix.
  • Knowledge of block-level and file-level storage protocols, SAN switching, enterprise storage arrays, and replication technologies.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model concepts, software-defined storage solutions, and backup technologies.
  • Experience troubleshooting network and server environments.
  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex operational issues and escalate when needed.
  • Ability to maintain structured operational processes and follow established procedures.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with teams of varying technical experience levels.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts and participate in rotational support schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage customer infrastructure platforms, ensuring stability, availability, and performance.
  • Troubleshoot client device, application, virtualization, storage, and networking issues through remote support channels.
  • Own assigned incidents from identification through resolution while maintaining accurate documentation in ticketing systems.
  • Provide technical support for virtualization environments, including compute, storage, backup, and network infrastructure.
  • Perform testing of new features and functionality, supporting implementation plans and production validation.
  • Investigate and resolve equipment, configuration, and operational issues while coordinating with vendors when required.
  • Maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and best-practice procedures for supported solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, operations teams, customers, and management to ensure efficient incident and change management.
  • Provide emergency on-call support as part of a rotating schedule.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute feedback to enhance operational efficiency.
