Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on software engineering experience with JavaScript and one other programming language.
- Minimum 3 years experience building, maintaining, and scaling backend systems, APIs, and services.
- Solid fundamentals of computer programming, including SDLC, coding best practices, design patterns, and object-oriented architecture.
- Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of initiatives, and follow through on commitments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical partners during discovery, development, and testing.
- Experience working in teams where automated tests are an expected part of development.
- Strong experience working remotely.
- Commitment to supporting and fostering diversity and inclusion.
- Reside within the United States of America.
- Preferred: 3 years experience developing healthcare integrations leveraging FHIR and HL7.
- Preferred: Experience working with EHR vendors such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, AthenaHealth, or NextGen.
- Preferred: Experience with Ruby on Rails, Postgres, Google Cloud Platform, and Rhapsody Integration Engine.
Responsibilities
- Deliver scoped integration work connecting external systems to the platform.
- Build and maintain API-to-API integrations, direct database connections, and FHIR/HL7-based workflows with EHRs.
- Communicate with customers and partners to understand integration requirements and design solutions.
- Contribute to the evolution of scalable healthcare integration architecture.
- Provide technical training and documentation for developed integrations to assist support teams.
- Collaborate with Product teams to define requirements and participate in PRD definition.
- Participate in team rituals such as Kickoffs, Retrospectives, and Technical Debt Reviews.
- Participate in on-call (PagerDuty) activities.
