Requirements
- Substantial experience in operations, coordination, chief-of-staff, or project/program management.
- Demonstrated ability to support executive directors, founders, or small senior teams.
- Strong track record of follow-through across multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Advanced systems judgment with the ability to build lightweight, usable structures.
- Clear written communication and experience preparing decision-making documentation.
- Demonstrated relational tact in small, distributed, and mission-driven environments.
- Experience in research, sustainability, systems change, or nonprofit field-building is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a lightweight operating backbone to make active workstreams visible.
- Ensure meetings and conversations produce usable next steps and follow-through.
- Prepare decision points by clarifying options, timing, and required actions.
- Support clear handoffs between the Executive Director, conference lead, and inquiry leads.
- Make timelines, dependencies, and communication needs transparent across the organization.
- Utilize AI tools for task extraction, decision logging, and workflow support.
- Establish and facilitate a simple weekly operating rhythm to keep the team aligned.
