Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) in the United States.
  • At least 10 years of experience in EPC for high-voltage substations, FACTS, and HVDC projects.
  • Expertise in structural design, particularly industrial multi-story steel buildings.
  • Proficiency with structural design and analysis software (e.g., Bentley Staad.Pro, RISA, AutoCAD, Revit).
  • Strong understanding of design codes like IBC, IEBC, ASCE, IEEE, ACI, and AISC.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, including occasional international travel.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing civil design and construction subcontractors.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for civil scope, schedule, and budget from project proposal to construction closeout.
  • Manage civil design and construction subcontractors, including technical scope and division of responsibility.
  • Support tender documents, conceptual designs, and cost estimation for civil works.
  • Ensure design compliance with local codes, permitting requirements, and GE GSI standards.
  • Lead the structural design team to produce necessary specs, designs, and bills of quantity.
  • Promote EHS leadership, implement stop-work policy, and conduct site Gemba walks.
  • Monitor project KPIs, track changes to scope/budget, and resolve non-conformances.
