Requirements
- 7+ years of corporate tax experience, including experience in public accounting, in-house tax functions, or a combination of both.
- Strong knowledge of direct tax matters, including federal and state corporate income tax compliance and tax provision processes.
- Familiarity with international tax concepts and the tax implications of operating across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience supporting strategic tax initiatives, business projects, process improvements, or tax planning activities beyond standard compliance work.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex tax issues and develop practical recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain tax concepts clearly to cross-functional partners.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Self-starter mindset with strong ownership, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with internal teams and external advisors.
Responsibilities
- Support strategic tax projects related to business growth, new operating structures, market expansion, and evolving business needs.
- Manage key direct tax workstreams while balancing compliance responsibilities with longer-term planning and operational initiatives.
- Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, finance teams, and external advisors to deliver practical and timely tax guidance.
- Support federal and state corporate income tax compliance and tax provision activities.
- Evaluate tax implications related to international operations, new business initiatives, and cross-border activities.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness within the tax function.
- Build strong relationships across the organization to support collaboration and informed decision-making.
- Assist with complex tax matters by analyzing issues, developing recommendations, and communicating solutions clearly to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continued development and maturity of tax processes, systems, and operational practices.
