Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with advanced network detection and response platforms, such as ExtraHop Reveal(x).
- Proven experience deploying and administering enterprise network security monitoring solutions.
- Strong understanding of sensor deployment, packet storage configuration, and performance optimization.
- Deep knowledge of wire data analysis, including L2-L7 protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and TLS/SSL decryption.
- Proficiency with JavaScript and Python scripting for automation and customization.
- Experience integrating network security platforms with SIEM solutions like Splunk, XSIAM, or CrowdStrike.
- Knowledge of threat hunting methodologies, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and CIS Controls.
- Experience with cloud networking concepts like AWS VPC Traffic Mirroring or Azure vTAP.
- Strong understanding of Linux, macOS, and Windows environments.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and client-facing skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CySA+, CEH, or OSCP are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy network security sensor architectures across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
- Configure and optimize packet storage solutions including retention planning and performance management.
- Develop customized detections and security workflows tailored to customer environments.
- Build and maintain integrations with SIEM, SOAR, ticketing, and CMDB platforms using APIs and automation.
- Conduct network visibility assessments to identify coverage gaps and security improvements.
- Collaborate with clients to provide strategic technical guidance and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Produce detailed technical documentation, including solution designs and deployment plans.
- Mentor junior consultants through technical knowledge sharing and best practices.
