Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Comfort working across frontend and backend layers.
- Working understanding of system operations, distributed systems, and cloud platforms like AWS.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, API design, and database internals.
- Ability to quickly ramp on unfamiliar codebases independently.
- Track record of owning outcomes and proactively communicating progress.
- Ability to diagnose and debug complex issues and optimize application performance.
- Hands-on experience with modern AI developer tools such as Cursor or Claude Code.
- Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities or third-party AI APIs is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Ship full-stack features end-to-end as a member of a Pod, owning scope from problem definition through production.
- Develop APIs and integrate with external services and databases with accountability for data integrity.
- Build front-end interfaces with a focus on user experience, responsiveness, and accessibility.
- Design and implement AI-powered features to enhance end-user experience or platform efficiency.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to shape design and UX decisions.
- Optimize application performance through caching, efficient algorithms, and database indexing.
- Write thorough unit and integration tests as a standard part of development.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor more junior engineers.
- Share production support responsibility on a rotating basis, including on-call and bug triage.
