Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building production-grade web applications.
- At least 3 years of professional experience developing backend applications with Python and Django.
- Hands-on experience with Celery, RabbitMQ, Redis, and asynchronous processing in production environments.
- Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, concurrency, SQL, database design, and distributed systems.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, with knowledge of Django REST Framework (DRF) and/or django-ninja considered a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL performance optimization, query analysis, and database tuning.
- Experience integrating third-party services such as Stripe, WorkOS SSO, or similar authentication and payment platforms.
- Working knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, and modern cloud-native development practices is desirable.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies such as HTMX or React is a plus.
- Excellent written English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in an asynchronous, distributed team.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and Django to support customer-facing applications and platform capabilities.
- Build new product features while ensuring code quality, scalability, security, and long-term maintainability.
- Optimize asynchronous processing pipelines using Celery, RabbitMQ, and Redis to improve system performance and reliability.
- Develop and maintain integrations with third-party services, including payment providers, authentication platforms, and external APIs.
- Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback while maintaining high engineering standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design technical solutions, troubleshoot production issues, and continuously improve system architecture.
- Contribute to technical discussions, system design decisions, and engineering best practices within a remote-first development environment.
