Requirements
- 7-10 years of professional experience in a finance role.
- Experience within an enterprise SaaS software business model.
- Expertise acting as a finance business partner for a specific business function.
- Strong preference for experience partnering directly with engineering or product leadership.
- Advanced financial modeling skills, including the ability to build models from scratch.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial data into clear narratives.
- Ability to influence leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field.
- CFA or CPA certification is a plus.
- Ability to learn and effectively use the GitLab platform.
Responsibilities
- Influence outcomes in cross-functional settings while providing advice and guidance to business partners.
- Develop advanced financial models to address new and ambiguous business issues or opportunities.
- Improve and drive financial planning, processes, and policies.
- Translate complex financial analysis into clear, data-driven storylines and actionable proposals.
- Execute large, complex projects that improve data-driven insights and company efficiency.
- Influence key stakeholders including the CFO and functional VPs.
- Mentor team members on financial modeling, analysis, and finance best practices.
