Requirements
- Professional experience in sustainability consulting, management consulting, carbon removal, climate change mitigation, or a related field.
- Degree in a relevant scientific discipline such as environmental science, agronomy, forestry, or land use economics (advanced degree preferred).
- Significant experience developing executive-level presentations and briefing memos.
- Experience in business development and client relationship management, including scope of work development.
- Strong understanding of food, agriculture, forestry, or reforestation challenges.
- Expertise in sustainability frameworks and industry standards (e.g., SBTi, GHG Protocol, SDGs, Paris Agreement).
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sustainability strategies.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to apply scientific principles to environmental challenges.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Strong project management abilities to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Advise and consult with clients on carbon management and nature-based sustainability strategies, considering their unique business objectives, industry regulations, and market dynamics.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality reports, presentations, and technical documents that effectively communicate complex scientific concepts and findings.
- Contribute to revenue and lead generation through scope of work development and other business development efforts.
- Lead and contribute to multidisciplinary teams in the development of sustainability plans, including carbon reduction and removal targets and supply chain decarbonization.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in sustainability practices and environmental policies in the food and agriculture sector.
- Collaborate with clients' stakeholders, including executives, sustainability teams, engineers, and researchers.
- Act as a thought leader and represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and workshops.
