Requirements

  • Strong professional experience designing, building, and maintaining backend systems, APIs, and production services.
  • Experience developing backend applications in Go or another strongly typed programming language.
  • Professional experience with React, TypeScript, and frontend development within full-stack product environments.
  • Experience delivering complex technical projects from planning through production release.
  • Ability to independently identify problems, propose solutions, and take ownership of technical initiatives.
  • Strong debugging skills with the ability to investigate complex issues across an entire technology stack.
  • Experience supporting production software environments and participating in on-call rotations.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and design teams.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.
  • Interest in observability, production engineering practices, and building tools that improve software reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs with a focus on scalability, reliability, maintainability, and backward compatibility.
  • Build backend services primarily using Go, applying strong software engineering principles and thoughtful API design practices.
  • Contribute to full-stack product development by building frontend features using React and TypeScript alongside backend systems.
  • Deliver high-quality product features that improve customer workflows and provide measurable value.
  • Lead complex technical projects by breaking down ambiguous challenges, defining solutions, and delivering incremental improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with product and design partners through discovery, planning, development, and iteration cycles.
  • Contribute to technical roadmaps and help connect engineering decisions with customer needs and business outcomes.
  • Participate in production ownership, including on-call rotations, incident response, debugging, and proactive improvements to system reliability.
  • Identify and address technical debt while improving system performance, maintainability, and developer experience.
  • Provide thoughtful code reviews, mentorship, and technical guidance to help teammates grow and succeed.
