Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Comp Sci, Software Eng, or related field.
- 5 years of experience scaling distributed systems & cloud-based platforms.
- 5 years of experience with AWS (S3, SNS, SES, API Gateway) and Kubernetes/ArgoCD.
- 5 years of experience working in Python, Ruby, Node, PHP, & .Net.
- Proficiency with software development lifecycle, DevOps, security, & compliance best practices.
- Experience planning & executing software platform changes with minimal disruption.
- Experience with Queue mechanisms including RabbitMQ, SQS, Kafka.
- Experience analyzing and communicating software implementation options.
- Experience with databases including Postgres, DynamoDB, & MySQL.
- Experience with tools including Datadog, Logstash, ElasticSearch, Docker, & Redis.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple teams to influence cross-technical & business decisions, ensuring alignment between eng execution & company-wide goals.
- Expand from domain-specific focus to include cross-functional oversight, aligning multiple teams & setting direction at a higher level.
- Align engineering teams with the product roadmap by collaborating with product leadership and identifying dependencies.
- Continuously evaluate & drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, & business outcomes.
- Provide technical direction for architectural decisions, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, & optimized.
- Drive proactive resolution of high-priority technical issues and manage technical risks including backup & disaster recovery plans.
