Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and/or software development
- 4+ years of experience leading technical projects
- Strong Go (Golang) development experience, especially writing APIs to build, orchestrate and manage cloud infrastructure
- Expert knowledge of patterns and principles for designing and implementing cloud native applications on Kubernetes, such as Controllers and Operators
- Deep experience designing, building, and running highly-available production applications
- Understanding of the Linux operating system, and systems engineering fundamentals
- Technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure (especially GCP), distributed systems, and reliability practices
- Working knowledge of software and infrastructure tuning and observability (especially Datadog)
- Comfortable working directly with internal customers to understand needs and collaborate on solutions
- Availability for participation in on-call rotation
Responsibilities
- Designing and building tools and applications to extend Calendly’s infrastructure platform
- Evaluating and guiding the development of applications across the organization
- Exercising deep expertise in cloud infrastructure concepts and patterns
- Offering and evangelizing patterns for application teams to consume for cloud native applications development
- Fostering a collaborative environment of learning and knowledge dissemination
