Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot and the broader Spring ecosystem.
- Strong proficiency in Java (Java 11 or later) with understanding of JVM and concurrency.
- Proven experience designing, building, and operating microservices in production.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent).
- Working experience with AWS core services in a production environment.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design, integration patterns, and API lifecycle management.
- Working knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes).
- Experience with Maven or Gradle build pipelines.
- Active use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Windsurf.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Advanced English proficiency required.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot following microservices architecture.
- Model and evolve relational data stores, write performant SQL, and manage schema migrations.
- Design, build, and consume RESTful APIs using versioning, contract testing, and clear integration patterns.
- Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot services on AWS (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, SQS, SNS).
- Implement observability practices including structured logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
- Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor mid and junior engineers.
- Collaborate with architects to contribute to solution design decisions and technical documentation.
- Debug, profile, and optimize performance at the service, database, and infrastructure level.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate delivery status, technical risks, and blockers.
