Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field (advanced degrees a plus).
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Systems Engineer with Microsoft and Linux operating systems in enterprise environments.
- Minimum 10 years of experience designing and managing VMware stack (ESXi, vCenter) and hyperconverged infrastructure (Nutanix, Dell VxRail, HPE).
- Minimum 10 years of experience with enterprise storage technologies (Block, File, Object).
- Minimum 10 years of experience with enterprise backup and recovery technologies (Rubrik, Cohesity, Veeam).
- Expert proficiency in Windows-based enterprise environments, including Active Directory, M365, and PKI design.
- Advanced knowledge of VMware, Windows Server, TCP/IP, DNS, and related protocols.
- Strong understanding of network design and management (LAN/WAN, MPLS, VPN, VLAN, Wi-Fi).
- Solid knowledge of encryption and cybersecurity risk mitigation.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for automation and administration.
- Proficiency in monitoring solutions like SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, Splunk, or Aria.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Manager of Systems to align system strategies with firmwide objectives.
- Design, implement, and manage core systems, including compute, networks, storage, Exchange, Active Directory, Group Policy, and virtual servers.
- Administer and support cloud-based platforms including Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and AWS.
- Manage Citrix VDI, load balancing systems, and SSL certificate management.
- Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
- Provide expert-level escalation support for complex technical issues.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including processes and procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate security vulnerabilities and support integration efforts.
