Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- 10+ years of relevant experience in computer systems engineering
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript
- Strong skills with operating systems including Linux and Windows Server
- Knowledge of networking protocols and infrastructure such as TCP/IP and DNS
- Familiarity with verification and validation (V&V) processes in aerospace or high-reliability industries
- Working knowledge of requirements management tools like MS Excel or DOORS
- Strong documentation skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain software development, testing, and delivery schedules
- Design software-intensive systems including requirements, architectures, scalability, and security
- Integrate software components with hardware to create cohesive systems
- Review test plans and procedures and debug complex software issues
- Document and review system designs, procedures, and workflows
- Design scripts and tools for automation, efficiency, and reliability
- Oversee creation of software simulators and system emulators
- Develop and maintain system requirements for space hardware interfaces
- Support model-based systems engineering (MBSE) initiatives
