Requirements
- Strong experience in backend software development.
- Deep expertise in core Java, specifically threading, allocation, garbage collection, and performance tuning.
- Experience writing low-latency Java code.
- Strong domain knowledge in database engine, compiler design, or investment bank front-office systems.
- Experience designing languages.
- Deep understanding of how the JVM works.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude Code.
- Prior experience building planning software (nice to have).
- Basic understanding of Spring (nice to have).
- Knowledge of multi-dimensional modeling (nice to have).
- Knowledge of Lambda Architecture (nice to have).
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the product team to codify design decisions into executable criteria.
- Collaboratively design and implement high-performance, low-latency calculation engine code.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to team members and stakeholders.
- Advocate for correctness-first approaches and foster a culture where quality is paramount.
