Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building backend systems in Python.
- Deep expertise with FastAPI or similar modern frameworks, specifically in designing services and data models.
- Experience designing robust systems with careful consideration of trade-offs and scalability.
- Proven ability to build and scale backend systems for high-load environments.
- Experience building products from scratch or managing early-stage projects.
- Comfort working in ambiguous environments where specs may not be fully defined.
- Strong history of working directly with product stakeholders and end-users.
- Data-driven mindset with experience tracking the impact of code changes on business metrics.
Responsibilities
- Develop Manychat for Brands from the ground up, managing architecture, infrastructure, and core backend logic.
- Ship features to design partners quickly and iterate based on direct feedback and performance metrics.
- Address complex technical challenges such as observability, authentication, permissions, and scaling high-volume data operations.
- Establish architectural patterns and best practices for the engineering team.
- Partner with Product Managers and leadership to define product requirements and features.
- Monitor system performance at scale to ensure product impact and metric improvement.
