Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on IT system administration experience.
- Strong, demonstrable expertise administering AWS environments.
- Practical cloud administration experience across both AWS and Microsoft Azure.
- Microsoft 365 administration expertise, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Basic scripting experience in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Experience supporting or operating within Department of War (DoW) environments.
- Strong documentation and communication habits.
- Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor.
Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain workloads across AWS and Microsoft Azure, including compute, storage, networking, and identity resources.
- Manage Microsoft 365 tenant, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams, including user lifecycle and conditional access policies.
- Perform routine system administration, patching, monitoring, and maintenance across endpoints and cloud-hosted systems.
- Administer managed IT and security SaaS platforms including RMM/MDM, IT service management, and compliance tools.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to streamline repetitive tasks.
- Apply security configurations consistent with DoW requirements and support audit-readiness activities.
