Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in partnership sales, commercial development, or revenue generation within sports, entertainment, media, or related industries.
- Proven track record of leading high-performing sales teams and achieving ambitious revenue goals.
- Deep experience developing integrated partnership strategies, negotiating complex commercial agreements, and closing enterprise-level deals.
- Strong understanding of the sports and entertainment partnership landscape.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical and strategic thinker with strong business acumen.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Ability to travel regularly for client meetings, sales presentations, and events.
- Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours based on partner and event needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commercial strategy for a newly created business POD serving Major League Baseball, soccer, women’s sports, and emerging categories.
- Drive revenue growth and meet ambitious sales targets across existing and new partnership opportunities.
- Identify new sellable assets, category opportunities, and integrated partnership concepts.
- Lead the business POD by building culture, acquiring and developing talent, and coaching team members.
- Establish clear priorities, performance expectations, and development plans for the team.
- Serve as the senior leader for key clients to build trust and confidence.
- Act as lead sales executive for major pitches and negotiate complex commercial agreements.
- Partner with internal leadership to pursue and win new business within the POD’s area of expertise.
