Requirements
- 15+ years of total professional experience, including 8+ years in data platform engineering, architecture, or managed services.
- Advanced expertise in enterprise cloud data platforms, specifically Snowflake, AWS, Azure, and/or Databricks.
- Extensive experience with cloud-native data warehouses like Snowflake or Redshift.
- Production experience with distributed data storage (S3, ADLS, Cassandra/NoSQL).
- Production experience with data integration and streaming technologies (Spark, Kafka, Matillion, Fivetran, Azure Data Factory).
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for writing and optimizing complex queries.
- Extensive experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Experience building automated solutions using Python.
- Proficiency with CI/CD frameworks (Bitbucket, GitHub, Liquibase).
- Proven experience delivering projects in a professional services or consulting environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the design, provisioning, and operationalization of cloud-native data solutions on AWS and Azure.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and performant data platform architectures.
- Manage delivery across multiple simultaneous customer accounts, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Lead technical teams in managing streaming, data lakes, and analytics platforms.
- Provide technical thought leadership during client workshops, architecture reviews, and discovery sessions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, shaping roadmaps and influencing strategic decisions.
- Mentor and coach engineers, delegating effectively and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
