Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing and building software products within engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience working in infrastructure, platform engineering, or developer experience-focused teams.
- Strong expertise in observability, reliability engineering, operational metrics, and data-driven problem solving.
- Proven experience designing monitoring frameworks, SLO platforms, and automated response workflows.
- Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, New Relic, or equivalent platforms.
- Experience building and supporting large-scale enterprise software applications.
- Experience designing internal developer tools, engineering portals, or solutions that simplify software delivery workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or similar environments.
- Experience applying AI-driven automation across the software development lifecycle to improve productivity and reduce engineering friction.
- Strong programming skills in Go, Python, or equivalent languages.
- Experience with incident management tools such as PagerDuty or Incident.io is preferred.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated reliability and self-healing systems, including deployment safeguards, automated rollbacks, and fault mitigation capabilities.
- Build and enhance internal platform tooling that enables engineering teams to deliver and operate services more efficiently.
- Own improvements to incident management processes and tooling by reducing alert noise, improving actionable signals, and strengthening on-call effectiveness.
- Develop and evolve observability solutions, including monitoring systems, alerting frameworks, service-level objectives (SLOs), and performance analysis capabilities.
- Contribute to AI-powered operational solutions that automate detection, remediation, and repetitive engineering workflows.
- Identify recurring operational challenges and eliminate technical toil through automation, process improvements, and scalable solutions.
- Partner with product engineering teams to improve reliability practices, reduce operational overhead, and promote engineering best practices.
- Establish and champion operational excellence standards through engineering guidelines, guardrails, scorecards, and shared frameworks.
