Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of engineering management experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in DevOps, software engineering, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
  • Experience with build systems and artifact management tools such as Bazel, Gradle, Maven, or npm.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools including CDK, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python, Go, Java, or TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps, platform engineering principles, automation, and self-service infrastructure models.
  • Experience using data and performance metrics to drive operational improvements.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, mentor engineers, and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the vision, roadmap, and objectives for CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and release automation frameworks.
  • Lead the architecture and scaling of cloud-native build platforms and standardized end-to-end delivery workflows.
  • Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and self-service infrastructure platforms.
  • Establish reusable pipeline templates, standardized development workflows, and policy-as-code solutions.
  • Implement progressive delivery strategies, including automated rollbacks, feature flags, blue/green deployments, and canary releases.
  • Use engineering performance metrics, including DORA metrics, to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Enhance developer experience by reducing build times, improving reliability, and enabling efficient development environments.
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing DevOps and Build Engineering team.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, and Security teams to align platform strategy and DevSecOps initiatives.
  • Improve observability across delivery pipelines through effective use of monitoring, metrics, logging, and tracing.
