Requirements
- Proven experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT development, and large-scale data processing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake SQL and cloud-based data warehouse solutions.
- Experience working with MongoDB and transforming NoSQL data structures into relational database models.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL database design, optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Experience developing reliable production data pipelines and automated workflows.
- Proficiency with SQL and strong understanding of relational database concepts.
- Experience with Python for data engineering and automation is preferred.
- Familiarity with ETL frameworks or tools such as Rivery or Informatica is a plus.
- Strong understanding of data quality, governance, security, and compliance practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver scalable solutions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical improvements.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical data solutions.
- Design, build, and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines supporting enterprise applications.
- Develop and manage ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
- Create scalable workflows for data ingestion, aggregation, transformation, and automation.
- Manage versioned data pipelines, including complexity related to changes, releases, and data evolution.
- Implement logging, monitoring, and instrumentation to ensure pipeline reliability and operational visibility.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, security, privacy, and compliance through quality control processes.
- Design and optimize data transformations involving MongoDB, Snowflake, and relational databases.
- Flatten and normalize complex nested JSON structures into efficient relational data models.
- Build and optimize Snowflake-based solutions for staging, parsing, and processing semi-structured data.
- Design, index, and tune MySQL databases to improve performance and maintain data integrity.
- Mentor and support junior engineers by sharing technical knowledge and engineering best practices.
