Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in business or a related field.
- 1-2 years of successful professional experience as a Loan Analyst/Processor or 2-3 years of experience in the mortgage lending industry.
- Proven track record as a self-starter with a desire to learn and grow.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Interest in applying technology to solve business problems.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for delivering an excellent customer experience.
- Ability to provide and receive feedback, ask questions, and follow established processes.
- Flexibility and ability to work in a dynamic environment of rapid change.
Responsibilities
- Analyze loan applications, collect essential documents, and obtain third-party reports.
- Reach out to customers and third parties via phone, email, & text to obtain documents or essential information, provide proactive status updates, and answer customers’ questions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the processing and underwriting stages.
- Review and analyze documents against credit policy to prepare loans for underwriting decisions.
- Meet and exceed daily and monthly quotas for new application reviews.
- Identify potential roadblocks or credit policy alignment issues in collaboration with sales and operations teams.
- Work cross-functionally to meet and exceed weekly and monthly processing and funding goals.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects or initiatives as needed.
- Attend and provide feedback in team meetings.
