Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent technical expertise.
- 5+ years of hands-on, professional software development experience developing user-facing iOS mobile native applications at scale, using Swift.
- Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks and to deliver projects on schedule.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment.
- A track record of leading projects that require cross-team and cross-functional collaborations.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a self-directed, innovative, and action-biased approach.
Responsibilities
- Architect a highly modular, easy-to-integrate iOS video player that enables other teams to build features effortlessly while delivering first-class performance for users.
- Partner with backend media infrastructure and CDN teams to optimize global delivery and performance.
- Work cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering counterparts to execute on product and business strategy and build novel media products and features.
- Set and define standards that improve developer workflows, recommend best practices, and coach and mentor engineers on the team.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate prototyping, system design, and coding, while applying rigorous judgement to validate and own the final outputs.
