Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (quantitative discipline preferred).
- 2-3 years of P&C insurance product management experience OR 3-5 years of P&C insurance Product Analyst experience.
- Familiarity with P&C insurance policy and claims workflows, data, and relevant metrics.
- Experience with commercial lines rating plans, including ISO loss costs or proprietary plans.
- Expertise in property and casualty insurance pricing strategies.
- Demonstrated competency in process analysis and automation.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Strong skills in SQL and Python for data extraction and reporting.
- Working knowledge of actuarial fundamentals, including loss development, rate level indications, and trend analysis.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder and executive collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain product scorecards to monitor performance indicators, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Acquire subject matter expertise on policy and claim data, utilizing data warehouse and business intelligence tools to generate insights.
- Manage rating plans and pricing strategies in collaboration with underwriting business unit leaders and the technology team.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of ISO, carrier-specific, and proprietary policy forms.
- Identify and document requirements to automate and streamline new and renewal underwriting and policy issuance workflows.
- Collaborate with the technology team to ensure proper ingestion, archiving, and reporting of claims loss runs.
- Perform competitive analysis to identify market gaps and develop product enhancements.
- Optimize program financial results by balancing premium production, loss ratios, and agency compensation.
