Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of experience in a call center, customer service, or medical office.
- Must have previous experience with appointment scheduling in a practice management system.
- Excellent written, listening, and verbal communication skills in English.
- Detail-oriented with strong logical and critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to work varying shifts, including early mornings or evenings.
- Favorable background check result.
- Previous medical office, optometric, or ophthalmic experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Answer inbound and outbound calls for multiple clinics efficiently and professionally.
- Schedule patient appointments in electronic systems according to department protocols.
- Verify and capture patient demographics, insurance, and medical information.
- Address patient questions and provide clinical advice and guidance resources.
- Initiate service recovery to maintain patient satisfaction and clinic relationships.
- Relay information to clinic team members using appropriate messaging systems.
- Maintain patient records and charts while adhering to HIPAA compliance.
