Requirements
- Excellent programming skills and proficiency in Python.
- Knowledge of traditional machine learning tools and techniques (support vector machines, gradient boosting).
- Understanding of LLMs and their architecture.
- Experience with fine-tuning, e.g., LoRA, distillation.
- Proficient in SQL.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, e.g., AWS.
- Knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, and algorithms.
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to own conclusions and shape outcomes.
- Knowledge of Java is a plus.
- Knowledge of Databricks is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, train, evaluate, and deploy models against real survey data, owning the full path from experiment to production.
- Innovate on experiments, baselines, and models to simulate survey responses.
- Build on existing open-weights LLMs or develop custom architectures as needed.
- Partner with the data science team to ensure integrity of statistical testing and experiment frameworks.
- Leverage agentic programming tools and AI tooling like Claude Code in daily development.
