  • Experience influencing senior leaders and organizational decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research approaches.
  • Ability to identify trends, signals, and intersections between classroom realities and broader opportunities.
  • Experience turning insights into strategy, investment decisions, or organizational change.
  • Deep K–12 education expertise (nice-to-have).
  • Survey design and educator listening experience (nice-to-have).
  • Experience managing external research partners (nice-to-have).
  • Experience working with large-scale datasets or analytical products (nice-to-have).

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Data Science to co-design and scale organizational intelligence capabilities.
  • Define key questions to be answered through data, intelligence, and emerging classroom signals.
  • Collaborate on initiatives uncovering patterns, trends, and opportunities within DonorsChoose's dataset.
  • Translate research findings into compelling narratives for fundraising, engagement, and organizational influence.
  • Ensure insights are accessible and relevant to stakeholders including educators, funders, and policymakers.
  • Lead the organization's approach to impact measurement and learning.
  • Oversee measurement frameworks focused on student outcomes and school engagement.
  • Guide impact studies and validation efforts through internal and external partners.
