Requirements
- Significant experience as a senior engineer on complex, large-scale, cloud-based systems.
- Prior experience on Platform or Internal Developer Experience teams.
- Management experience with several direct reports (2+ years) at at least two places.
- Specific experience building products for internal stakeholders and developers.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust, synthesize feedback, and communicate clear rationale.
- Ability to form strong views from evidence and adapt quickly to new information.
- Strong understanding of high-performing, sustainable engineering team dynamics.
- Proactive ownership and self-awareness.
- Technical credibility, with experience in Go considered a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead the AppEx team to deliver initiatives from concept and planning through to rollout.
- Own developer productivity and internal developer experience outcomes.
- Listen across the organization to synthesize feedback and build buy-in for a clear, well-argued roadmap.
- Coordinate across team boundaries, including SRE, Security, and Principal Engineers.
- Manage and coach engineers, enabling personal and professional growth.
- Contribute to technical strategy, code, and reviews while maintaining high-traffic shared libraries and tools.
- Drive improvements to processes, developer experience, and system scalability.
