Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in backend or full-stack development.
- Strong background in building scalable, cloud-native applications.
- Deep expertise with AWS infrastructure (Lambda, Fargate, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, DynamoDB, RDS).
- Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
- Experience with both PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles for scalable and performant APIs.
- Active usage of AI coding tools such as Cursor or Claude Code for task automation and complex integrations.
- Proven ability to break down complex, ambiguous problems into actionable steps.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with product and data science teams.
- Experience in a start-up environment is a plus.
- Experience with React is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering leadership to evolve core data models and APIs, transitioning to a resilient, event-driven system.
- Drive a culture of technical excellence by defining best practices for integration and end-to-end testing.
- Lead the development and maintenance of integrations with third-party EHR systems.
- Build clean, well-documented APIs to ensure reliable communication with diverse external platforms.
- Mentor and elevate other engineers on distributed systems, AWS best practices, and secure development.
