Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- 7+ years of technical sales experience, preferably in automation, protection, or communication systems.
- Proven track record of quota attainment and new business development.
- Deep knowledge of substation automation, protective relays, RTUs, and wireless communication.
- Experience with CRM tools and structured sales processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the western US.
Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales quotas by developing new business and expanding existing accounts in the western region.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to deliver value throughout the sales cycle.
- Manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools like Salesforce, ensuring accurate forecasting.
- Collaborate with product management, marketing, engineering, and channel partners to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities using competitive intelligence.
- Protect margins by reframing value and focusing on solution differentiation.
