Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend development.
- Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills.
- Experience with frameworks such as Express or Fastify.
- Solid understanding of API design, distributed systems, and data modeling.
- Experience with Go is a plus.
- Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Passion for open source and the developer community.
- Experience creating developer tooling.
- Experience with ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, or other analytical/OLTP databases is a bonus.
- Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, logging pipelines, or metrics infrastructure is a bonus.
- Exposure to message queues or event-driven architectures is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Own and build key backend services and infrastructure that power our observability platform.
- Ensure reliable, high-throughput data pipelines and APIs.
- Collaborate with open-source contributors and customers to solve challenges.
- Incorporate community and customer feedback into backend architecture and API design.
- Design and implement scalable backend systems to ingest, process, and query petabytes of observability data.
