Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in graphic design, data visualization, or technical communication.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in infographics, digital/print design, and data-driven storytelling.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical or analytical information into clear and accessible visuals.
- Experience ensuring Section 508 compliance or equivalent accessibility standards in design work.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design tools.
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-design stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Design infographics, data visualizations, and technical graphics that clearly communicate evaluation findings and program data.
- Collaborate with writers, analysts, and subject matter experts to determine the most effective visual representation of complex information.
- Develop brochures, fact sheets, posters, exhibits, and digital assets for technology, engineering, and public programs.
- Ensure all deliverables meet Section 508 accessibility standards and align with established branding guidelines.
- Create executive-ready dashboards and at-a-glance visual tools that support leadership decision-making.
- Support storytelling initiatives related to public art, historic preservation, and architectural programs through engaging visual materials.
