Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering or platform engineering experience.
  • 4+ years focused on middleware and integration platforms.
  • Expert-level expertise across RabbitMQ, Redis, and Azure Service Bus in production.
  • Proficiency in C# (.NET), Java/Kotlin, Python, or Go.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals including idempotency and eventual consistency.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or Ansible.
  • Strong observability skills with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Experience with secure middleware configuration (TLS, mTLS, secret management).
  • Ability to lead technical initiatives and produce architectural documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, deploy, and operate enterprise messaging and middleware platforms including RabbitMQ, Redis, and Azure Service Bus.
  • Design and govern event-driven and message-driven integration patterns such as pub/sub, sagas, and dead-letter handling.
  • Lead performance engineering, tuning configurations, cluster topologies, and namespace tiers for high-throughput environments.
  • Define and enforce standards for message schema design, versioning, and serialization.
  • Implement and maintain High Availability and Disaster Recovery strategies.
  • Establish end-to-end observability using distributed tracing and metrics platforms.
  • Collaborate with application development teams to review integration designs and service mesh configurations.
  • Own middleware security posture, including TLS, certificate management, and RBAC/ACL policies.
  • Drive Infrastructure-as-Code adoption and support CI/CD pipeline integration.
  • Lead incident response for critical outages and provide mentorship to engineering teams.
