Requirements
- 10+ years in finance with experience in senior FP&A or finance-leadership.
- Proven experience owning an end-to-end monthly close.
- Proficiency in building driver-based forecasts integrated with operational inputs like inventory.
- Experience evaluating and implementing a financial systems stack.
- Ability to work in a broad, under-resourced scope solo initially.
- Background operating in a venture-backed, high-growth environment.
- Strong written communication skills for explaining complex financial decisions.
- Preferred: Experience hiring and building a finance team (controller, FP&A).
- Preferred: Knowledge of revenue-timing and cash-flow nuances like deferred revenue.
- Preferred: Domain experience in DTC, consumer, or healthcare/diagnostics.
- Preferred: CPA or equivalent.
- Preferred: Experience navigating priced equity rounds (Series A/B).
Responsibilities
- Manage monthly forecast-to-actuals reconciliation and driver-based rolling forecasting.
- Execute monthly business reviews to analyze variances and determine strategic decisions.
- Evaluate, select, and implement a financial systems stack.
- Provide accurate and timely financial health insights to executive leadership.
- Collaborate with leadership on strategic growth initiatives.
- Hire and manage a controller and an FP&A analyst.
