Proven success building, managing, and mentoring high-performing engineering organizations.
Strong technical expertise in distributed systems, databases, or large-scale infrastructure platforms.
Experience with C or C++ in large production codebases.
Familiarity with PostgreSQL internals is a strong advantage.
Solid understanding of SQL, database engines, query processing, concurrency, replication, and distributed computing concepts.
Demonstrated ability to balance technical leadership with people management in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Lead, mentor, and grow multiple globally distributed engineering teams focused on database technologies and core platform capabilities.
Define execution priorities and collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to develop realistic technical roadmaps.
Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and customer-focused database solutions.
Support hiring, performance management, career development, and team engagement while fostering an inclusive engineering culture.
Contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions.
Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues and translate feedback into product improvements.
Promote engineering excellence through strong execution, accountability, and continuous process improvement.
