Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in SEO content writing, content marketing, or a related field with a strong focus on organic growth.
  • Proven ability to conduct keyword research and translate search intent into high-performing published content.
  • Hands-on experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of on-page SEO principles including keyword mapping, internal linking, metadata optimization, and content structuring.
  • Familiarity with GEO / AI search optimization concepts is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to write across multiple formats including long-form blogs, landing pages, and short-form web content.
  • Experience managing content calendars and working independently in fast-paced, performance-driven environments.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret SEO data and adjust content strategy accordingly.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to balance creativity, readability, and search performance.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, write, and publish high-quality blog content targeting high-intent keywords across collegiate, Greek life, and custom apparel topics.
  • Develop engaging, search-optimized content formats such as guides, listicles, comparisons, and how-to articles aligned with real user intent.
  • Maintain and execute a structured content calendar aligned with seasonal campus events such as recruitment, homecoming, and graduation.
  • Write and optimize on-page SEO elements including meta titles, descriptions, headers, and landing page copy across the website.
  • Identify and implement internal linking strategies to improve site structure, crawlability, and SEO performance.
  • Develop and execute backlink acquisition strategies targeting relevant publications, blogs, and collegiate communities.
  • Build relationships with external partners, journalists, and bloggers to secure organic content placements and referrals.
  • Optimize content for visibility in generative search engines (GEO), including AI answer platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.
  • Monitor SEO and content performance metrics, running audits and refining strategy based on data insights and ranking trends.
