Requirements
- Minimum 10 years in customs brokerage, trade compliance, account management, or a combination.
- Valid U.S. Customs Broker License issued by CBP or Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation.
- Experience with ACE or similar data and analytics tools.
- Ability to translate complex concepts for diverse internal audiences.
- Experience in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Proficiency in managing large customs brokerage operations or enterprise-level importer networks.
- Project management skills with proactive deliverable tracking.
- Experience navigating formal sources such as CSMS, FRNs, or D-Memos.
- Demonstrated success liaising with government agencies like CBP, CBSA, and PGAs.
- Familiarity with specialized programs like AD/CVD, C-TPAT/PIP, duty drawback, and various tariff programs.
Responsibilities
- Act as a knowledge leader in customs compliance for internal stakeholders including Operations, Sales, and Product.
- Supervise a remote team of Broker Partner Success and Post-Entry Analysts.
- Coordinate team scheduling for weekend, holiday, and time zone coverage to maintain business continuity.
- Support pre- and post-entry activity including exception management, invoice escalations, and CBP/CBSA requests.
- Manage PSCs/Protests in the US and Corrections/Adjustments in Canada.
- Facilitate ongoing meetings with broker partners and ABI users.
